Jonah D. King
Curiosity, attention to detail, and strategic thinking form the backbone of Jonah King’s practice. Before embarking on his legal career, Jonah was a journalist, covering business, politics and national events in Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles. As an attorney, he leverages that experience to ask targeted questions to get to the heart of the matter and achieve favorable results for his clients.
Jonah has deep experience in both litigation and transactional matters. In more than a decade of practicing law, he has prepared dozens of civil cases for trial in jurisdictions throughout California and across the country, and contributed to the closing of hundreds of complex real estate loan transactions, with a particular focus on delivering opinion letters under state and federal law.
Serving his clients has taken Jonah from Seattle to Jacksonville, from Los Angeles to New York, from Pittsburgh to Guadalajara, and parts in between. He has represented property owners, real estate investors, cancer patients, start-up companies and established businesses.
Jonah earned his J.D. from the Pepperdine University School of Law, his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. He is admitted to practice law in California, New York, and Washington, D.C., and before the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and Ninth Circuit.
Jonah lives in Santa Monica with his wife and their two sons, and their Miniature Schnauzer, Sherlock.
