Kayla Murphy
Kayla Murphy is an associate attorney with the transactional team at Grant | Shenon and brings a rich and varied background in real estate and transactional law to her practice.

Before joining Grant | Shenon, Kayla practiced law at Cornelius & Kasendorf, APC, where she focused on high-value real estate litigation and contractual disputes. Prior to obtaining her license, she gained hands-on experience working for a wide range of legal professionals and businesses: assisting a commercial real estate attorney with transactional matters, supporting a professional license defense firm as the firm's senior legal assistant, and being a key member of the legal and business affairs team at a prestigious classic car auction house. She also worked for an attorney specializing in startup law that touched on emerging cryptocurrency issues, as well as for a tech company’s legal department — experiences that broadened her exposure to innovative sectors.

Kayla earned her Bachelor’s degree in History from Thomas Edison State University and her Juris Doctor from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. During law school, she further enhanced her credentials by obtaining a certificate in Real Estate from the Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law and contributing as an associate editor on the Pepperdine Law Review. This academic foundation, combined with her professional versatility, enables Kayla to address a wide range of legal challenges with agility and insight.

As an attorney at Grant | Shenon, Kayla leverages her extensive background to provide clients with effective solutions, whether navigating complex property transactions or resolving intricate legal disputes. With her commitment to professional excellence and client success, she is proud to represent Grant | Shenon and looks forward to contributing to the firm’s ongoing growth and impact. In her free time, Kayla enjoys cooking, exploring local history, and traveling, activities that reflect her curiosity, attention to detail, and appreciation for the world around her.
